Editorial: Please Do Not Get It Twisted

It is difficult to believe that the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee are now interested in "getting things done." The Republicans had the White House, majority of the Senate, and majority of the House of Representatives for two years and all the legislation that managed to get passed was a massive tax cut for people who didn't need it. An awful lot of time and money was spent working on the "Benghazi/ Hillary Clinton investigation which produced ZERO! During this time what legislation was passed? What infrastructure improvement was made?

The Republicans on the committee are also pushing the narrative that Hillary Clinton paid for the Steele Dosierre to spy on herself and hack into her own campaign. Does that make any sense at all? NO, The Steele Dosierre was sought after by and paid for by The Washington Beacon a  Republican Conservative News Outlet. Her campaign hired Fusion GPS to find out information on her opponent, which is within the norm of politics.

In October 2015, Fusion GPS was contracted by the conservative political website The Washington Free Beacon to provide general opposition research on Trump and other Republican presidential candidates. In April 2016, attorneys for Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC separately hired Fusion GPS to investigate Trump, while The Free Beacon stopped its backing in May of 2016. In June 2016, Fusion GPS subcontracted Steele's firm to compile the dossier. Clinton campaign officials were reportedly unaware that Fusion GPS had subcontracted Steele, and he was not told that the Clinton campaign was the recipient of his research.Following Trump's election as president, funding from Clinton and the DNC ceased, but Steele continued his research and was reportedly paid directly by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn R. Simpson. While compiling the dossier, Steele passed information to both British and American intelligence services.[1]
We the people can not allow the members we elected to represent us, (yes us, WE THE PEOPLE) get away with lying to the public.  They have a job to do, and blaming Hillary Clinton is not the answer. As of right now:  An online tracker by The Washington Post the Partnership for Public Service shows that 282 of just over 700 key executive branch jobs — presidential nominations that require Senate approval — are vacant. Of those positions, 127 people have been formally nominated and are awaiting confirmation, and 14 others have been announced but not yet officially nominated. [2]

So now they are in a hurry to do real work? When all of these positions have not been filled for two years? Something to think about.
