Kiwanis Dine at MTHS Chef Restaraunt

Kiwanis Dine at MTHS Chef Restaraunt, Metamora Herald

The Metamora Kiwanis club recently toured Metamora Township High School’s Chef Restaurant program as part of one of their regular monthly meetings.

Chef Restaurant is a hands-on vocational program that allows students to prepare for a future in the food and hospitality industry.

The Metamora Kiwanis club enjoyed a manicotti entree with vegetable, salad, and bread, followed by Chocolate cake.

This unique event also provided a rare opportunity for the high school Key Club (a junior version of the Metamora Kiwanis Club) to attend a meeting with their senior counterparts. The joint effort has led to a paper products/toiletry drive for the Metamora Food Pantry. Drop off locations include Goodfield State Bank, Commerce Bank, Heartland Bank, and Jim Maloof Realty. The drive will extend through the month of December. The community is encouraged to participate.
