Metamora's Stott Part of Conference Championship for UW-Whitewater Football, Metamora Herald

WHITEWATER, WI (11/05/2018)-- Merritt Stott, a native of Metamora, IL, and graduate of Metamora Township High School, is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team, which claimed its 11th Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the last 14 years and is heading into its final game of the 2018 regular season.
Stott, a junior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in Finance.
The Warhawks clinched at least a share of the conference title with their 40-10 triumph at UW-Stout on Oct. 27, then sealed the championship outright Saturday with a 59-7 win over UW-Stevens Point.
As the WIAC champion, UW-Whitewater has clinched the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs, which begin Nov. 17. The Warhawks will make their 15th appearance in the NCAA Division III Playoffs and seek their seventh national championship in school history.
