Metamora Girls Basketball hosts Bloomington tonight

Metamora, IL  - Metamora Girls Basketball has a big set of home games this week. It starts tonight with Bloomington, a team that Metamora lost by around 20 points in Bloomington last year.

The Lady Redbirds are coming off a 2-3 start to the season as part of the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament.

Currently, the team is averaging 40.8 points per game, with junior and Washington transfer Anne Peters (11.2 points per game) leading the way. Fellow junior Reagan Begole is not too far behind Peters, averaging 10.8 points per game. The two have combined for 110 of Metamora's 204 points.

Begole had a quality game in the home opener against Sacred Heart-Griffin, scoring 22 points on 6 2-pointers and 7 free throws, with a 3 as well. Peters has scored 14 against both Galesburg (34-52 loss) and United Township (42-32 win).

The game against Bloomington tips off tonight, Tuesday, November 28th, at 7:00 pm, in Metamora High School's Toepke Gymnasium.
