Metamora Volleyball suffers tough 3-set loss to Limestone

Metamora Volleyball suffers tough 3-set loss to Limestone, Metamora Herald

Bartonville, IL - It was a critical Mid-Illini Conference match for the Metamora Redbirds volleyball team (27-5) (10-1) Tuesday night as they traveled to Bartonville to take on the Limestone Rockets (24-3) (10-1).

Headed into the match, the question stood of how Metamora was going to stop Limestone senior and Butler commit, Brittany Robinson. Rather, if they can't stop her, how would they counteract?

Junior Reagan Begole had a great game at the net, finishing with a team-high 10 kills. Robinson finished with 23 for Limestone.

The Redbirds did all they could but wound up coming just short in three sets, 25-23, 24-26, 19-25. The next match for Metamora is this Thursday, October 12th, as they welcome the Dunlap Eagles, Metamora's first postseason opponent. That Metamora-Dunlap game will take place October 24th at approximately 6:30 pm as part of the Geneseo Regional.
