Another school year is coming to an end. What a year it has been. There have been so many changes and improvements at all the schools in the area I can’t list them all. The students are going above and beyond in extracurricular activities as well. Many champions in sports, academics, and technology in the region and we are all proud of the hard work you have all done.

Congratulations to all the 8th-grade graduates. MGS had their graduation Wednesday, May 17th, 2017, tonight both GHMS and Riverview will have their 8th-grade graduations and both begin at 7:00 pm. This coming Sunday, May 21st, 2017 MTHS will have their senior graduation beginning at 3:30 pm. Congratulations to all the seniors!

Of course, there is the annual Six Flags trip the 8th-grade students are looking forward to, but there are some other fun activities as well.Tomorrow, Friday, May 19th, there will be a field day at MGS, they will be selling ice cream at the concessions and ask you send $1.00 with your students.Wednesday, May 24th, the 6th-grade class will enjoy a pancake breakfast, courtesy of their teachers.Today, May 18th, GHMS is hosting a Kona Ice party, $3.00 per treat. There are also award ceremonies/banquets happening and  just to name a few. Check out your school’s website for more info.

So most news outlets support the valedictorians and students like that [and they do deserve this], but I think students who have to try and try to get good grades, deserve recognition as well. If you have a student that did their best and made it and want to show them you are proud of them, write to me robin@metamoraherald.com  Send me a picture and some kind words and I will publish in the Metamora Herald. We are proud of all of you, and good luck with your futures.
