Colorado Rocked by Weather, What is Happening in IL?

More severe weather storms crossed the globe yesterday, May 8th,2017. In the Atlantic Ocean, Tropical Cyclone Donna has been causing major damage and is the largest tropical cyclone ever recorded in the month of May, from the southern hemisphere. In Texas, there were severe thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, and today they are dealing with flooding. Colorado had a hail storm that had unbelievable sized balls of hail. There was a lot of damage done to cars, homes, and businesses.

The Flood Warning continues for the Illinois River at Peoria.

* Until further notice.
* At 745 PM Monday the stage was 22.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 22.2 feet
by Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 22.7 feet...Flooding begins to low lying areas in Peoria
Heights and Peoria's Riverfront Park.


We are about to have more rain in Illinois, according to their forecast. Be prepared and stay safe.
