ADDWC E-Waste Drive a Success

ADDWC E-Waste Drive a Success, Metamora Herald

Saturday, April 8 The Association for the Developmentally Disabled of Woodford County held an e-waste drive in the grade school parking lot. I spoke with Vocational Director Roger Crow when I dropped off some of the electronics that have accumulated around my household. He, along with other staff, board members, and volunteers filled the first truck in 23 minutes. Several members of the Eureka High School football team were there to help move the big stuff.
There was a steady stream of vehicles flowing in, but the group handled it in a very professional manner.  A partnership between ADDWC and Advanced Technology Recycling helped to make this e-waste drive possible for our community. AT Recycling's local office ( located at 8202 N University St, Peoria, IL 61615 drop off times are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm) is in Peoria also accepts televisions for recycling for free during regular drop off hours.
ADDWC is a wonderful organization with many upcoming events. They are raffling off a playhouse today and May 6 there will be an Italian Feast Fundraiser at Eureka Bible Church. More to come from this group, for sure. Thanks to all who work toward making our communities better.
