Referendum Walk Abouts

Today, Sunday, March 12th,2017 from 1:00 pm til 5:00 pm, members of the community will be going door to door talking to people about voting on the referendum April 4th,2017. One of the most lovely things about living in Metamora, Germantown Hills, and Spring Bay areas, is the great education children receive here at our local schools. We take education seriously here and believe our kids deserve the best we have to offer with a well-rounded education. Learning different Art’s, Science, Reading, Math, and also how to be good citizens and have respect for one another. All of these things are important in creating future adults who are productive and community minded. The earlier we begin educating kids, the better chance they have at life, this has been proven time and again. MGS has a great Bright Beginnings Program and an effective curriculum for grades K-8, but it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, time, and money. I know, I know, no one likes to talk about the money part, but it is there and needs to be discussed. This would be the first funding increase for MGS in over 27 years. Think about the past 27 years and how much has changed and become more expensive. State funds are not dispersed as they should be, and we are not sure when the state government will be functioning properly. Please go to Metamora Commitment for any questions. There will be two more walks on April 1st and 2nd from 1:00 pm til 3:00 pm. Thank you, and don’t forget to vote on April 4th.
