The other day while browsing the Metamora Park District's website, I noticed an upcoming event for the Metamora Kiwanis Club. The Kiwanis Club is a charitable foundation focusing on local and worldly issues. They sponsor our local Key Club, are involved in the Eliminate Project, the Spastic Paralysis Research Foundation, and work with our local Park District to make our community parks better.

The Metamora Kiwanis Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month to discuss events and proposals etc… They will be meeting this Tuesday at noon at The Flame in Metamora. I will be attending the meeting and see what the club is about. If you are interested in going it is open to the public. To join the club you fill out an application and there is a $100.00 annual fee. Be a part of making good positive changes in our communities and others.

On Saturday, March 11th, 2017, The Metamora Kiwanis Club is hosting their 3rd Annual Trivia Night. This year's event will be held at the Embassy Suites,  100 Conference Center Drive,East Peoria IL  61611. The doors open at 5:30 pm, the trivia begins at 6:30 pm, and there will be a cash bar. Tickets are $35.00 per person and you can make reservations for tables of up to 8 people. The evening includes Taco/Fajita Bar, a silent auction, 50/50 bead dance and cash prizes. All the proceeds will be going to different charities that the Kiwanis Club is involved in. For example, new ADA approved Handicap Equipment for our local parks.

Please contact Ethan Morris @ 367-4787 or email, if you have any questions or would like to make a reservation for Trivia Night. Thank you, and have fun at the event!
