IGSMA Grade School Contest

IGSMA Grade School Contest Metamora Herald

Friday, February 24th, Metamora and Germantown Hills chorus, along with several other schools competed in the annual IGSMA band and choir contest. Both choirs sang wonderfully and received high marks from the judges. Metamora was last to perform, and sang three beautiful songs, my favorite being "Wonderful World."
IGSMA contests are for grade school choirs held in each district. The performers do not directly compete against each other, but they do aim to have a perfect score each year. Metamora and Germantown both compete strongly each and every year they attend. If you happened to miss it, don't worry. This is the first competition of the year for these choirs. Next month if you wish to see more performances, visit ICC to watch the singers perform solos or in small ensembles at their ILMEA Solo and Ensemble contest.
