First MTHS Referendum Town Hall

Last night, the Citizens for MTHS held the first of several town hall informational meetings in the auditorium of the high school. Chad Udell presented updates to the original plan, including a total cost reduction from $18.6 million to $11 million. The average home owner would see an annual tax increase of less than $20 a year. The presentation stressed several key points.

  • Security and Safety- A secure main entrance with key cards to control employee access. New safer student drop off and bus loading areas
  • Modernization- Centralized hallway to improve student flow, with administrative offices placed in closer proximity to said flow. A modern library complete with three computer labs and lots of natural light.
  • Many Facility Upgrades- New commercial kitchen for the culinary arts program. Sound proof band and chorus rooms. New robotics facility. Upgraded agricultural lab and metals and welding shops.

If you would like to attend one of the upcoming community informational meetings check out the Citizens for MTHS for more information
