Thanksgiving Recipe Traditions 1

I would like to take an opportunity to introduce a few ideas for Thanksgiving. Every family has special recipes they love during the holidays. Grandma's banana bread or your mom’s homemade stuffing. Whatever yours is I am sure you thought of it as soon as you read the first sentence. Here is one of mine. This is a recipe I got about 10 years ago from a girl I worked withs, mom. Her daughter had said it was her favorite thing and I had never heard of it. Crunchy cornbread casserole. I liked the name and was intrigued. Her mom stopped in and I asked her how do you make this I have to know. She said it's so easy…

CRUNCHY CORNBREAD CASSEROLE   preheat 350
1 can of corn (drained) 1 box of cornbread mix
1 can of cream style corn 1 16 oz container of sour cream

Follow the recipe directions on your box of cornbread mix and prepare as usual. Drain the can of corn and add to mix, and then pour in the cream style corn.  Add the entire container of sour cream and mix all ingredients together. Grease a 13x9 pan and pour in mixture and smooth out evenly. Place in oven 20 to 30 minutes, depending on your oven check with a fork. It is so rich and creamy and crunchy, Such a wonderful addition to our table, thank you Allison and her mom for sharing.

We would love to share your stories and recipes. Write to us at p.o.box 772 Metamora, IL 61548 or [email protected]   I look forward to hearing from you.
